EMS Continuing Education (CE) Credits

NMSU Fire Department maintains a NM EMS Bureau Approved EMS CE Program for the benefit of our personnel to maintain their knowledge, skills, and meet the requirements to maintain their respective EMS license. These classes are open to anyone needing to obtain NM EMS CE hours at no charge. Classes are scheduled on weekends, but we do not publish a class schedule. Classes are adjusted due to other shift activities and emergencies. Persons seeking to attend EMS CE lessons should contact the Fire Department at 575-646-2519.

Another opportunity to obtain CE's in the comfort of your own home is through the UNM Department of Emergency Medicine website. On this site you will enter your license number and county. The site will allow you to complete online CE's, especially those hard to obtain pediatrics. Below are two links; one is the UNM Department of Emergency Medicine. The second one is the NM EMS Bureau link which has directions outlining what you will need in your renewal packet.
